A NMDOH physician, usually the Regional Health Officer, issues a written standing order in the name of the school or district on request, typically within a week. A pharmacist may then dispense against it.

How to get it in New Mexico
Two documents: a prescription in your organization's name, and a standing order saying when trained staff may use it.

- If you are a childcare program
- the New Mexico standing order does not cover you, so you will need your own prescriber to sign one.
- If you are a camp, gym, restaurant or workplace
